Schools vs E-learning in the covid era : Introduction

Today, the issue of distance education is becoming very crucial, due to various factors, including the health crisis related to covid 19.

Many schools and educational institutions around the world are trying to create solutions so that they can adapt and continue the process of learning and training. 

In this article, I will try to share with you some solutions that are simple but can be valuable for schools administrators, teachers, learners and their families. 

The first thing to consider is that E-learning is above all a learning philosophy that the school must think about before taking any action. 

As a school director, or pedagogical manager, you have to identify the link between the existing curricula and the way to present it online, without forgetting the techno-pedagogical approach that will assist this digitalization of contents. 

In another way, you don't have to digitize the paper content into a visual content, but you have to digitize it thinking about the quality of communication and interaction between the learner and the content on one hand, and the learner with his colleagues and the trainer on the other hand.

Therefore, it is worth thinking about using an LMS, which will enhance the quality of communication and interaction.

An LMS or Learning Management System, is an online learning platform that facilitates the production of learning content by ensuring the learning experience in real time or in sync with each learner's rhythm. 

There are several learning management systems that you can use, and in the following a list of my favorite online learning platforms:

Google Classroom

Moodle

Ispring Learn 

There are other LMSs that you can discover in this article prepared by the Ispring team. If not, these three suggestions can be your first step to discovering the world of E-learning. 

the question now is how to manage these platforms, and ensure their proper use? what is important is to master their technicality, to train the teachers on how to use them, the same for the students or their parents.

In the next article I will discuss these 3 examples and I will answer the question of their technicality and how to manage it and handle the learning experience by using these systems.
